I didn’t write any favorite post ever since January and I missed them a lot. But for the two months after I had my baby I used really almost nothing from my make up so there was no use to write those posts. And after that came the period when I didn’t have any free time at all. Now the grandma-baby-day-care service is fully functional so today I had some time to write a post about my May favorites. Here could also go a lot more products but I listed only those I used all the time and I was thrilled about. So, let’s start.
Maybelline lip stick shade 130 – pink possibilities – since I’ve been spending a lot of the time walking with my baby, my lipsticks finally got to see the light of the day and I’m rotating colors all the time. During the last month I’ve been somehow using this color all the time. For those of you that like long-lasting and highly pigmented lipstick I wouldn’t recommend this one here. But just because of that I like it a lot. So, this color is not highly pigmented but you can upgrade it without any trouble. This lipstick is really light and I think of it more as a lip balm than a lipstick. It won’t last long on your lips, maybe for 2 or 3 hours and it won’t dry your lips out. This pink shade is somehow typical for this crossing period between spring and summer.
Revlon colorstay moisture stain India Intrigue color– in fact, maybe I’ve been using the shade Barcelona Nights a bit more than this color. But that was the one my mom liked so I gave that one to her and I couldn’t take any photos of it. I have a couple of these Revlon stains and the colors are really different in quality. This one here is easy to apply, it’s nicely pigmented, but nonetheless I’m applying it in two layers. It will last for about 5 hours. My mom says that it holds trough her entire 8 hour work shift but to me that doesn’t seem true. The color fades slowly and you need to reapply it. This is a really nice cyclamen shade.
Lucas Papaw Ointment – this products is a true revelation for me. I simply love it and I don’t want to spend a single more day without it. This is a multipurpose product and you can use it for your lips, the skin around your nails, burns, insects bites… This product comes from Australia and it’s really popular there. I stumbled upon it by accident with some of the foreign YouTube bloggers. I’ve been using it for about 3 months now and it never disappointed me so far. It helps my dry lips literally over night. And my lips really get dry easy because of all the lipsticks I use. I’ve been using this also for my cuticles and it works great. I also used it on an occasion when I burned myself with some boiling water and it really helped ease the pulsing pain you get when you burn yourself. The texture is very similar to Vaseline texture.
MAC Blot – this is one of the products I couldn’t live without in this time period. My face, or better said, my T-zone starts to get oily and this product deals with that problem easily.
Mary – Lou Manizer highlighter – I postponed the purchase of this product for a long time and then I finally gave up on postponing 2 months ago and ever since then we’re inseparable. The shade is somehow gold-champagne (this sounds a bit weird, I know, but I’m really very bad in describing the shades and colors altogether). On my face it holds really long and every time I remove my makeup it’s till there and flawless. I also think this product deserves a review of its own and a couple of photos so I’m already on the typing and photo taking.
From the face care products in the last few months I really tried a lot of different product and I ended up surprised really nice by those products. One of the products mentioned is the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Spa. It’s possible that this product is going to be a little bit heavy for my skin in this summer period but since it’s almost empty I’d like to empty it completely. Over the night it nourishes my skin really good and ever since I’m using it I really can see the difference in the morning, when I wake up. My skin is fresh and soft to touch. The texture is something gel-like and it soaks in quickly.
The last product is Caudalie Polyphenol C15 oil – this product is really something wonderful and I found it with my dear Nives so I’m going to post another her great review here until I write my own. Whey you’re in a lack of sleep because your baby wakes up a lot then you need something that will make your skin look less tired and make it more shiny. And this product knows the trick to do that. This oil soaks in really quick because my skin looks just like it needs just something like this product. The only thing I don’t like is the aroma of this product and I was also thinking that it was out of date because I still didn’t get used to it. But since I really like the effect it gives you I think I’m going to be using it for a long time. And if it would also erase the circles under my eyes, then this would be the ideal product.
So much for my favorites. Which ones are your favorites and do we maybe share some favorite in common?
