My lovelies, for today I have for you the review of the Giovanni hot chocolate body peeling. I really love peelings and I regularly use them once a week. In the next lines read about how I liked this peeling.
With Giovanni products I first made contact on iherb and this peeling here caught my eye very quick. This was the first product from the brand I tried out. In the line there were two types: Giovanni hot chocolate sugar peeling and Giovanni cool mint lemonade that is salt based, not like sugar in the first one. Since it was winter period, and I liked the one with the chocolate fragrance better, I decided I’m trying that one out.
The peeling comes in a huge, misty, also a bit fancy jar where you can find 260 grams of the product. The price for this product is 9.77$ and I think that’s a really good price for a peeling.
The packaging is really good and when you open the lid, inside you can find another small lid so the product doesn’t come out. The fragrance, when you open it is really nice, real chocolate and you get the desire to eat some. And while you’re doing the peeling, the fragrance gets only stronger and my whole bathroom smells like chocolate for hours after that.
The base of this peeling is sugar with trapped cocoa seeds inside, and under your fingers it feels gentle, but when you start to do the peeling it’s not so gentle anymore but also it’s not to rough, something in-between really. During the peeling it creates a kind of warming effect so you better not use it during the summer time. For the summer the cool mint lemonade type is better choice and I read on iherb that this one has a cooling effect. My skin is after the peeling really soft and smooth and I’ve noticed that the chocolate fragrance stays on my skin for a long time. So when I use this peeling I skip the use of a lotion because I love this fragrance and if your skin isn’t to dry then you really don’t need the lotion.
The only flaw is that you spend the product really quickly, but not considering that, it became one of my favorites so I plan to use it further and for the summer I’m going to try the cool mint lemonade one. Really a great product for the ones that love peelings. One other positive thing is that this product wasn’t tested on animals.
