Garnier base found its place in my monthly favorites, and considering a base is something without I don’t start applying my makeup, here are also my impressions about it.

For the beginning, here is what Garnier says about it

Care – base for smoothing with optical effect visibly corrects and reduces teh visible signs of aging: thin wrinkles, irreguralities and pores, and in only 5 seconds. Ultra gentle texture leaves an incredible matte, soft and velvety feeling on the skin. Apply over the whole face after the daily cream. Ideal makeup base. Before use, shake the tube well.

The base comes in a pink box and if you like this color like I do, you won’t miss it on the shelves for sure. I have to admit, that before I went shopping, I didn’t read any reviews of this base, but the packaging itself made me interested in buying it. In the box, you will find a gentle pink tube with 30 ml of the product and for it you’ll have to spare approximately 80 Croatian kuna.

My skin is changing like the seasons, literaly, but at the moment it’s normal, with a T-zone that is slightly greasy. I have some small irregularities on my chin, and my pores are not so visible, so I don’t have any major issues with them.

I’m applying it after my daily cream, so I first shake the tube really good like it says in the instructions. For me, really the amount of a pea bean size is enough for my whole face. The texture is really light and it doesn’t make the skin feel heavy. It applies really nice and soaks in right away, and makes your face feel velvety. Pores and other irregularities are smoothed and with that, it gives the blur effect, what the name of the base itself says. For the smoothing effect, you can thank the silicone that you can find in the ingredients. I’m not a big fan of the silicone and it needs to be avoided, but I used the bases with silicone before and they didn’t cause me any trouble. The base didn’t make any mess on my face, and the powder is really good applied after it. I’m a bit scared that it’ll cause me trouble in summer because then my forehead gets more greasy, so I’m not sure how much it’ll last, but we’ll see.

I’m really satisfied with this base and I think the range of the price and the quality is great.
