Empties #4

My last „Empties“ post or better said, post about all the products I emptied, I wrote all the way back in the summer of 2017. Yes, yes, you read it right, 2017!!! 😀 Back then I mentioned how I’d like to remove this category because I don’t like to stack up on trash. But this time it happened that I emptied more than one product at the same time so I decided to type a couple of words about them. And it happens, according to what the statistics say, that this category one of the most read ones on my blog is. I guess you like to see all of the stuff I emptied, how did I like it and if I plan to buy some of the products again.

I’m going to start with the hair products. About a year ago, I decided to go back to using the Kerastase shampoos because I started to be unhappy with my hair. It looked really dry, I had bad tangle issues and it really looked just bad. My hair is really thick and long, but it’s also fine and it tangles very easy and sometimes it can take up to 30 minutes to detangle it completely. This is why I decided to go back to my trusted shampoos which make my hair beautiful, nurtured and there’s no more trouble with detangling.

My most favorite product is definitely Kerastase Discipline/Bain Fluidealiste for unruly hair. It leaves my hair soft, clean and the most important part, it doesn’t tangle it even more. In the combination with the Kerastase Nutritive Lait Vital my hair looks normal and after I blow-dry it, there’s no need to additionally flatiron it because it really looks beautiful and nurturing. I’d say this is some kind of a conditioner, I use it for my hair ends and on the hair parts that usually tangle the most and I leave it in for 3 minutes. And after this, I almost don’t have any troubles at all. You should see what my hair looks like when I’m using some of the products that don’t fit me, it literally becomes all tangled up and I get some sort of natural dreads 😀 It’s a nightmare, trust me, I know.
The shampoo I also love very much like the above mentioned is Kerastase Nutritive/Bain Satin 1 which is meant for normal to slightly dry hair and it has an almost similar effect to the first one. I think the Discipline line helps me detangle my hair easier and this is why I prefer it.
Both shampoos come in the 250 ml dose and you can buy them in hair salons that use their products or online over the AMAZON and FEELUNIQUE web page.
I think it’s really worth paying the money to buy these shampoos and they also last longer because I wash my hair once or twice per week and you really need to use only a small amount per wash.

When it comes to using some products for my whole body, I have to admit I’m terrible at it. I keep forgetting to put some body lotion after the shower and I really have to work on that. Ok, I’m not that bad during the summer, but in the winter time when I’d really have to use it more, I almost don’t use body lotions at all. But, with this Afrodita body milk, it’s a completely different story that I actually managed to empty it completely. In general, I really like Afrodita products and they work great for me so I ended up using also the brands’ body soufflé.
This body milk is light, it soaks in fast and it leaves my skin hydrated and soft. The smell is divine, but what it really got me with was this pump because I adore products with pumps. And they also have to soak in fast and not leave a greasy layer on my skin because I really don’t have time for that 😀

To take my eye make-up off I’m still faithful to my Garnier two-phase make-up remover. I lost count on how many bottles I emptied until this moment, but I’m sure the number is over 10. You all know I like it from my 2017. “Empties” post. 😀 I think I might have tried out some of the Nivea brand products but that’s it. This one showed to be really great and I don’t see the need to change it. It takes off my make-up completely, it doesn’t sting my eyes, it doesn’t cause any irritation and that’s really all I need in a make-up remover.

For my face cleaning routine, I’ve been using the Botanics and Nivea brand micellar waters. Botanics 3 in 1 I didn’t like that much so I didn’t buy it again, but I’m a faithful user of the Nivea micellar that doesn’t irritate my skin and it takes off my make-up completely. I bought this product a couple of times. This one was meant for normal skin and the other one I’m using at the moment is for sensitive skin. Honestly, I haven’t noticed much of a difference so I just buy the one I spot first.

From the face washing gels, I’m a faithful Neutrogena Hydro Boost user. I think I emptied whole 10 bottles and I simply love it. The thing that’s most important to me is that it doesn’t dry my skin out and it takes off the make-up residues great. If I’d make preparative cosmetics favorites, this gel would be in the top 10 for sure.

Cotarde face cream was a true revelation for me and if it would be easier to get I’d continue using it for sure. But their mousse impressed me even more. I’ve never seen such texture in cream and it fit my needs perfectly. The mousse has a blurring effect so I also used it a couple of times as a make-up base.

About Vichy Mineral 89 I’ve read divided opinions, to some of the people it was good and to some of them, it did nothing. I used it before applying my face cream and also sometimes as a standalone product. I think this product is ok, in the end, nothing spectacular but nevertheless, I managed to empty it completely. But, I wouldn’t buy it again.

Farsali Unicorn Essence is a serum I loved. All over the social networks, there was this huge hype about it for a while and I have to be honest that it really was justified in my book. It was great and if the price was a bit different I’d buy it again. But, the thing is that it goes empty too fast to buy it on a monthly basis. My skin did really look better when I was using it and it would work great as preparation before makeup. And to top it all, it’s pink and it smells great. 😀

Face mask that I used the most is Glam Glow ThirstyMud Hydrating treatment and to be honest I used it as a face cream. First time I bought only a small version of it and I didn’t have any spectacular thoughts about it, in fact, I thought it was pretty much nothing special. But, then I stopped using it and I realized that it’s something my skin was totally missing and that it was actually doing all the good things for my skin. In the end, I bought the big package and now the only thing that I have left is the small package that is also almost empty. But, in case you’re suffering from dry skin, you should definitely buy this product with all my recommendation. And, another good thing about so it worth the money spent on it.

For the same purpose, I was using also the Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight mask. I don’t know why exactly, or if it’s ok, but I really like to use all those hydrating masks as face creams, especially as a replacement for my night cream. This mask was one of the products I got in a package with their 72-hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator cream, but I gave the cream to my mom and I took this mask. It has a similar effect to the Glam Glow mask.

Becca Backlight Priming Filter I also enlisted into my year favorites, I was simply delighted with it and it has the effect that no matter what foundation I use, it always looks perfect. I’ve been using it in the combination with the Farsali serum and it was an awesome combination, for summer and for the winter time. It gives you this light glow effect and under some of the heavier foundation, it really helps your skin look fresh. I also think it could be good for the people that have problems with bigger pores because it will help you smooth those out nicely. It’s also a thing I would recommend for you in case you have dry skin and in case you have greasy skin then you skip this one.

I emptied also the Too Faced Born This Way foundation which is, along with the Nars Sheer Glow my favorite foundation. Its coverage is middle to strong, but it doesn’t make your face look like concrete and it’s not completely matte which is a thing my dry skin loves. It will last, literally through the whole day and it won’t “slip away” in the area around your nose or forehead which is a thing that annoys me the most if it happens after 3 or 4 hours.
My shade was Golden Beige and it’s ideal for summer but also now because I sometimes use drops to give my face a little tan.

I also emptied the Too Faced Born This Way Setting powder which I thought was impossible to empty, but for me, it lasted a bit less than a year 😀 You can see that I set my face every day. It was great and I keep preparing to go to the store and buy a new one, but I have to find some free time for that. It’s really light, it won’t fall heavy on your skin and you won’t look like you used flour on your skin, it really brightens the area around your eyes nicely.

Mac Fix+ I also managed to empty a couple of bottles and I think it’s awesome. Last time I took the version with golden particles but this one I had now I like a bit better. When you use around half of the one with the golden particles, those particles start to leave residues on your skin and then it looks like I used the highlighter all wrong all over my face. So I decided to stick with this one in the future which binds your make-up nice and even after you finished with the process and it all looks fresh.

And, to end this post, I decided to mention the four empty concealers, and I have a couple of those that are almost empty 😀 You all know already how much I love concealers. Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define concealers are in the shades of C1 and C2. C1 I actually used as my eyeshadow base for a while and the C2 as a concealer. I also have darker shades for my contouring and I really like to use them for that. For the circles under my eyes, it was at best good. It wasn’t great, but when I only need it for 4 – 5 hours it works well. After that, it starts to fade away and it gets into the fine wrinkles around my eyes.
Maybelline Fit Me and Rimmel Wake Me Up are my favorites among the drug store concealers and I’m more than satisfied with these two. Rimmel is always, but I mean all the time in my supply makeup cabinet 😀 Their coverage factor is great, they don’t go into the fine wrinkles around my eyes and they don’t dry out my skin. I’m more than satisfied.

And the only product that’s left is my Benefit Precisely my brow eyebrow pen. I think it’s great. My natural eyebrows are pretty thick so I use this pen to give them a bit of definition and fullness. It gets empty pretty fast, especially if you’re using it on a daily basis, but nevertheless, I think it’s worth the money. Their other product, the Goof Proof I didn’t like at all.

So, this would be all for now and I can hardly wait to throw away all these empty boxes 😀 I think I emptied a lot of stuff and you could’ve seen that if I like a product I buy it again more than once and I really stay faithful to a product I find awesome 😀

What product did you empty recently? Are we maybe using the same products?
