Products for the area around my eyes are one of my favorites when facial care and preparative cosmetics are in question. My big problem is that the dark circles under my eyes really huge are and also the skin under my eyes is very thin and very prone to drying out. And, of course, like with almost everyone, I also got those small lines and mimic wrinkles. The thing I expect from a product like this is to hydrate that area really good, but also to soak in quick and that after I use it, my concealer binds well with my skin. And another plus is if it can reduce the dark circles under my eyes, which is really something I rarely find in a product.
For a while now, in my facial care routine, for the area around my eyes, I’ve been using the Skin Doctors Eye Tuck cream. This cream comes in a plastic bottle with a pump in the amount of 15 ml (same like most of the creams for the area around your eyes). To me, it’s always a bonus if the cream has a pump because I don’t have to reach into the jar with my fingers. The expiration period is 12 months. I ordered this cream over the SkinCareTotal web page which ships to Ireland. The price is 32.95 British pounds.

This cream, like I already wrote, is intended for the ones that have problems with bags under your eyes, swellings and these small wrinkles. Luckily, I still don’t have those bags under my eyes and people usually connect them with dark circles, which is completely incorrect. Bags represent degenerative changes due to aging and I’d say they start to appear somewhere around when we’re 35 or older. So, on this account, I can’t really say if this cream has any effect at all. But I actually like this cream for some other reasons so I’m using it both in the morning and in the evening.
This cream gives me enough hydration during the whole day and it’s really something that’s very important to me. So, in the morning, after I wash my face, I apply this cream to the area around my eyes and for that one press of the pump is enough for both your eyes. The cream texture is light, watery and it soaks in really fast. At first, I was thinking that there’s no way this is going to provide me with enough hydration, but I was so wrong. The area around my eyes is really good hydrated and after I apply this cream, it feels like it’s giving that area some kind of freshness and I can feel under my fingers how smooth it gets.
And the best thing is, the feeling of hydration lasts through the whole day, and I can tell you right away, I’m putting on make up 4-5 times per week, so it means almost every day. So, first I apply the foundation, then the concealer and then I do the “baking”, and you all know how hard that can get for the thin area that is prone to drying out.
And as for the dark rings under my eyes, I think they’re always huge, but a couple of people told me that they seem a bit smaller and I’m honestly not sure if it’s because I’m using this cream.
Water (Aqua), Butylene Glycol, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Isopropyl Myristate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Polysorbate 60, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Propylparaben, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Triethanolamine, Sorbitan Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Carbomer, Disodium EDTA.
All in all, I’m really satisfied with this cream. I know it costs a bit more money, but considering you need to use a really small amount of it, I think it’s going to last a bit longer. With this crazy Irish weather, the constant wind and my make up habits, this cream offers me enough hydration and it gives freshness to that part of my face, and to me that is the most important thing. The foundation and the concealer bind nicely on it and I also think it fills up the mimic lines real good because during the day you can’t see them under the makeup.
Thumbs up for this cream!
